It is a show about nothing!

Welcome to nothing. This platform can be both nothing and everything! It is designed to be used by football analysts, journalists, and fans. Basically for everyone who wants to analyse football in some way!

Nothing basically consists of two essential parts, the datasets and the dashboards.

Datasets

The dataset is meant to answer the questions what and when.

Dashboards

The dashboard is then used to answer the question how. How do I want to visualise the data? A dashboard can consist of any amount of widgets in any amount of tabs making the possibilities to visualize the football data endless.

Getting started in 5 mins!

Start with creating at least one dataset by klicking on the datasets link in the menu. Here you will face another basic consept of the platform. Aggregated data over event data. What is the difference then?

Aggregated data means that all kpis you select will be accumulated over the time period. It will be so per player or team depending on what you choose. This type of data is ideal for example for comparing teams and players with each other, for instance to visualize in a spider.

Event data means that the data will be presented raw, every action will be there. This type of data is ideal for example for visualizing shots in a shotmap.

What is a KPI?

KPI stands for Key Performance Indicator. It is a metric that is used to measure performance. For example, a KPI could be the number of passes a player makes during a game.

When you have created a dataset and perhaps selected some kpis in it you can now go to dashboards for visualizing the data. You do that by adding widgets to your dashboard.

What is a widget?

A widget is a visual representation of the data. It can be a table, a spider, a pitch, or anything else that can be used to visualize data.

What about games then?

Games is another way to create datasets but also a place to see some basic data about a single game. From here you can manually select any games you want to create a datset from. Maybe you only want a certain teams away games for the season? This is the way to go then.

Nothing is designed to be used on a desktop or laptop computer. It can also be used on a tablet or mobile phone, but the experience is only as good as the screen is big.

Nothing is designed to be used in a web browser. It is not available as a mobile app atm.
